In depth

Verdict

Ballygrooby Bertie can build on his victory at Towcester but the drop in distance is a bit of a worry and he may be too close in the weights to ITTIRAD. John Ferguson's charge made a respectable comeback behind Street Entertainer at Fontwell and thrives on this good ground. Gud Day and Oliver's Gold are course and distance winners but the former has been chasing lately while the latter looks high enough in the weights now. Ballybriggan also looks vulnerable on these terms and Solidago is a long-standing maiden who has shown his best on a softer surface.
