In depth

Verdict

Get My Drift can beat Brewster and Character Building, with Woodlands Genpower not to be totally dismissed. Paul Nicholls is sure to have schooled Get My Drift well since his run at Exeter where he finished fourth to Dream Alliance, and the seven-year-old is taken to open his account over fences under Sam Thomas. Brewster has been profitable to follow over timber in the past, and was pulled up over hurdles behind Star De Mohaison at Cheltenham on his recent return to the fray. John Quinn has his team of jumpers in good order, and the way that Character Building stayed on behind Aces Four at Newcastle suggests that today's trip will bring out the best in him. Woodlands Genpower has not been seen since May and will be better for the run, but if it turned up a bog, he would definitely enter calculations. However, Get My Drift probably has more scope than most, so is the pick.
