Storm Lightning displayed form for the first time since joining his current yard from Dermot Weld when dropped back to the minimum trip in an ordinary Class 5 contest at Leicester but he's a player here if building on that improved performance. Amber Heights regularly compromises her chance at the start with a tardy stalls exit and did so when last seen at Bath before running on when various birds had flown. Fergus Sweeney takes over from Amy Scott and the additional half-furlong will aid her cause. BELLE BAYARDO is more reliable, though, and is narrowly preferred having just been run down in the closing yards at Chepstow last time. He's been campaigned almost exclusively over 6f for the past two years but it's worth noting that his three successes in 2010 all came over 5f - this intermediate trip should suit well.
