In depth

Verdict

September Blaze and Leicester runner-up Me And Ben must both carry more than their allotted weight and look to be facing a tough task. Miss Ballantyne didn't show much on her chasing bow but will have had plenty of schooling since and shouldn't be written off just yet. Stone Light has shown definite signs of promise but is possibly a bit flattered by her form figures. SPIRIT OSCAR got outstayed by Destroyer Deployed on heavy ground at Fakenham but wasn't disgraced and Oliver Sherwood's winning pointer can make amends in this.
