Verdict

As usual with a field of newcomers, the betting should provide some clues and any strong support for LE BEC could prove significant. He was purchased for 50,000 euros during the summer and is a half-brother to a couple of winners, including the useful Tocca Ferro who scored on his racecourse debut for Emma Lavelle. Mr Roberto has a pedigree for the Flat so should show a bit of pace, while Hugo Drax is related to a hurdles winner in France. Pirates Gold is a half-brother to a couple of winners over timber and Flaming Charmer's relative, Dancingwithbubbles, won a bumper on his first start in public so he may be best of the rest.
