KAYSERSBERG was carrying a winner's penalty when attempting a double at Doncaster having won there previously but found Ballyalton too strong. The winner is unbeaten after three starts so it was no disgrace and Neil King's charge can get back to winning ways. Gold Ingot looked to be travelling well for much of the race on his debut at Ascot and it was only in the latter stages that he weakened. With that under his belt he'll be difficult to keep out of the frame along with the filly Call Me April, who very nearly pulled off a huge shock here last month when, as a 150/1 chance, she was only caught in the closing stages by Taradrewe. Brendan Powell's newcomer Aneyeforaseller is out of a very tough mare who won eight times over hurdles so he's one to note for the future.
