In depth

Verdict

Chilli Rose couldn't manage a win in nine attempts over hurdles but she generally kept decent company and, being out of a Roselier mare, should jump fences. Alan King's mare is interesting here as is Cotswold Charmer, who won at Bangor in December before finding Grade 2 company too hot at Haydock last month. But the one to beat is probably LIVELY BARON, who wasn't disgraced behind the well-regarded Harry The Viking twice at Doncaster in December. His jumping has improved with experience. Tycoons Reflection is lightly raced but may need the experience today.
