Verdict

After making his debut over timber in the Tolworth Hurdle, Global Stage was made odds-on at Leicester. But he found one too good and looked very one-paced so is taken on here with MONSIEUR CO. Paul Nicholls’ four-year-old was a lucky winner at Wincanton but this more searching test of stamina will suit and Stan Sheppard takes off a valuable 5lb. Coo Star Sivola weakened quickly last time in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham but had won a Listed race at that track earlier, though has to carry a 10lb penalty here as a result. The others appear to have plenty to find to figure.
