      Verdict

The betting may give the best indication as to how Promenadia and Qenaa have fared over the winter, but Flodden could only manage a modest fourth on his reappearance. There should be more to come from Lingfield third Dark Isle over this longer trip and Logans Legend wasn't disgraced on his debut in November. Newcomer Stage Attraction is worth noting but the vote goes to SYLVESTRIS. She faced a tough task in a Listed race on her comeback and was well beaten despite running up to her mark. She has much stronger claims in this company and it's up to the others to improve past Ralph Beckett's filly here.
