In depth

Verdict

PREMIER ROSE (NAP) has looked a reformed character since joining Dan Skelton’s yard. She won easily over 3m at Southwell last month and then comfortably defied a 7lb higher mark over a shorter trip at Newton Abbot. She’s up another 9lb here but is still receiving weight from her five rivals. Guerrilla Tactics lacks an extra gear but has place claims again and Shantou Tiger is another who is usually thereabouts. Lord Topper will be happier back over hurdles and a similar comment applies to Lee Side Lady, though she’s looking a few pounds too high at present.
