Verdict

Low numbers are favoured here which suggests CRIMSON QUEEN, drawn number one, is well berthed to regain the winning thread. Roy Brotherton's filly scored twice over the minimum trip at Nottingham before failing to find a clear run at Windsor and is progressing well enough to take this. Flaxen Lake doesn't win often enough but is running well enough to get involved and is by no means badly treated while stablemate Dancing Welcome has dropped to a lowly mark though she's better over an extra furlong. Choc'A'Moca has found the going tough since his mid-summer double but he's well drawn and gradually slipping back to a reasonable mark while Steel City Boy won here in May and had no chance in a Class 3 at Yarmouth last time.
