Verdict

A competitive race in which preference is for SABORIDO although we wouldn't put anyone off the likes of Mexican Bob or Rare Ruby. It will be interesting to see if Alvee attracts support having been made favourite for her reappearance as the yard is profitable to follow here but she has plenty to prove. Rare Ruby has been in really good form and may not have found the stiff track at Pontefract to her liking; she's won over this course and distance and may resume her upwardly mobile profile. Mexican Bob steps up in trip after winning over a mile and a half at Beverley but the winning hurdler shapes as though he'll see it out and he's on a decent mark and relatively unexposed. Zuwaar is consistent but has been struggling to win and lost out by a short-head to Pseudonym over course and distance in July; both should be involved again. Transfered showed improved form for the step up in trip and has claims on that run although this is a relatively quick return to action after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The suggestion is Saborido who opened his account at the tenth time of asking when staying on well to land a modest race at Salisbury. This is more competitive but the handicapper hasn't overreacted to the win which may have done his confidence the world of good and he's taken to progress.
