Abolitionist wouldn't be travelling over from Ireland nor A P McCoy riding unless expected to get involved and he's well handicapped on some of last year's form. Boomtown shot up the weights after three victories last season but had dropped to a fair mark before an impressive victory at Huntingdon. He's up another 8lb but looks capable of getting into the frame. Winning point-to-pointer Catching On has been racing over trips too short and better can be expected while the assessor overreacted to Mootabar's two victories in the spring and has relented. DOYENTHEDECENTHING was the subject of a gamble here on Boxing Day and was still in touch when unseating her rider three out, her third similar mishap in her last seven starts. The handicapper has seen fit to drop her 4lb and compensation awaits.
