In depth

Verdict

The market will give us the biggest clue but TEENAGE KICKS is our call with Thyne For Deploy and Warmaster worthy of interest. Pam Sly's gelding was unfortunate to run up against a progressive type in Palos Conti last time out but we have few fears about trip and going and he therefore has to be the call. Thyne For Deploy is a rare raider from the Michael Hourigan stable. He had run on good ground in point-to-points though he is yet to encounter a surface as fast as this. Warmaster is only rated 93 though it is folly to ignore any runner from Howard Johnson's stable at this track. Orkney finished well behind Conquisto at Market Rasen though he was not alone in that regard. Davids City stayed 1m6f on the flat though has been little better than plating class at this level. Bzhamij Ai is tried in blinkers and can be given a modest first run in a Cheltenham bumper. Carmela Maria did not disgrace herself behind Watch Out at Huntingdon. Mzuri Bay ran well in a Southwell bumper and is probably better than his recent line of form suggests. Teenage Kicks has the right profile for this prize and he is accordingly nominated.
