In depth

Verdict

Carlo Rocks wasn’t disgraced at Doncaster, despite several jumping errors, but has to concede weight all round in a wide-open contest. Moorstown won over the trip at Bangor on his fencing bow and another winning pointer, Danehills Well, was only beaten a length at Ayr last time. Dick Darsie also has form between the flags and so does his stablemate Charlie Wingnut, who has been placed three times over hurdles. Lakefield Rebel was possibly an unlucky loser over further at Doncaster and Smuggler's Stash beat Landmeafortune at Hexham, though there should be little between the pair on today’s revised terms. BANKHALL has been improving over hurdles and can maintain that progress now tackling fences as he’s only five – Jamie Hamilton’s claim is a plus.
