In depth

Verdict

Life And Soul was a fair sort on the Flat and hasn't done a great deal wrong over hurdles so far. He seems sure to be in the firing-line again here but may lack the speed of FAIR TRADE. Alan King's charge finally came good at Wincanton last week and should be good enough to defy his penalty. Sea Lord was eight lengths behind Life And Soul at Catterick in January but will have needed that run and there might not be much to choose between the pair today. It will be a surprise if the winner comes from outside these three.
