Verdict

A much tougher than usual bumper to round off the day but LADY CHATTERBOX gets the vote. Jessica Harrington's mare ran a fine race here in March and bounced back with a very good effort at Down Royal where she led 3f out and was only caught inside the final furlong. Allyonice had shown nothing until a much improved run here last month when only just failing to spring a surprise by catching Bombalong. She wouldn't have to improve much to go one better while KIngs Equity ran well enough behind Grace N'Favour at Sligo to go on the short-list. Beat The Band made a pleasing start at Roscommon in September and will have needed her run at Punchestown last month so is another to consider.
