In depth

Verdict

Several of these approach this low-grade handicap in good form including By The Sea, who is on the upgrade though 8lbs higher than when beating the in-form Philopshers Guest at Gowran when Insomnitas was fourth. The latter should get closer on the revised terms but is still a maiden after 26 starts. Another long-time maiden, Headford Lady, was unlucky to be beaten a short-head by Edmondstown Lass at Killarney but that was a moderate contest and third-placed Loveisthedrug looks held. BOYNAGH JOY improved at the backend of last year gaining her first success at Dundalk in November. She reappeared in May to run really well behind Lady Montague at Naas and can take this from the same mark.
