It's about time THOMOND was winning over fences and this looks his opportunity. Successful between the flags and over hurdles, he's run well in three starts on ground much faster than ideal and hopefully will have learnt from his jumping errors. Cheap As Chips was having just her second start over fences when narrowly beaten into third at Downpatrick and her allowance should see her in the shake-up while Carhue will have found 2m7f stretching his stamina when beaten a long way into second by Darroun at Tipperary. Classic Event has shown a bit of potential and Namarama makes his chasing bow after a convincing victory over timber at Clonmel.
