In depth

Verdict

Robert Walford has saddled the winner of this in two of the last three years and has another leading candidate in Le Boizelo. He was impressive over course and distance last month and has his ground again, though has been raised 8lb. It took a while for the penny to drop with KAYF ADVENTURE (NAP) over fences, despite a debut victory. But he won a better race here on his latest start and looks capable of defying a 6lb rise. Grand Vision is a credit to connections and will probably run his race again, though will probably find at least one too good. Siruh Du Lac is only five and on a hat-trick after wins at Bangor and Exeter while Ballinvarrig needed his run at Chepstow. Vic De Touzaine is 10lb higher than when second in this 12 months ago.
