Verdict

Meanus Dandy attempts to repeat last year's success in this race off a 1lb lower mark with his conditional's claim taken into account. He did have a run under his belt last season, however, and stablemate The Minack is likely to prove more popular on his return to action. Benbane Head has a fitness advantage though he couldn't follow-up his Uttoxeter victory off a higher mark at Cheltenham last time, while Gone To Lunch needed a longer trip at this track recently to end his long losing streak. Golan Way has claims if ready for his comeback, but a chance is taken on C&D winner DOVER'S HILL. He unseated his rider on last week's reappearance but ended last season with an impressive winning double and Mary Hambro's charge could go close at a big price with a clear round.
