Verdict

All-weather bumper winner Very Noble went the closest yet to opening his account over timber when third at Taunton last month. PROUTS PUB is similar in that he too won a bumper on the Polytrack before making the frame at Stratford. But collateral form just gives him the edge over Very Noble and he gets the vote. Paradise Valley was a well beaten third on his hurdling bow at Southwell but is expected to do better on this faster surface while Smart Motive is also worth a second glance hurdling for the first time today.
