Azygous can come out on top at the expense of Polliwilline, with Indecent Proposal, Spider Power and Reviving other contenders. Azygous has bags of experience, having had nine career starts altogether, and has performed with much credit on Turf since winning his first two starts on the Lingfield Polytrack back in April. Highly-tried on more than one occasion, with runs in the Weatherbys Super Sprint and the Listed Scarborough Stakes at Doncaster among his portfolio, he so nearly returned to winning ways in an Epsom nursery on Saturday. Having made most of the running, he started to drift left in the closing stages and was grabbed on the line by Qusoor. While he would benefit from stronger handling, we are prepared to give young James Millman a chance to redeem himself today. Polliwilline is a progressive sort who will not mind the cut in the ground based on her Haydock win and she lines up on a mark of 79 which is fair enough. Indecent Proposal was finally found a winning opening at Goodwood, and although the form is nothing special, she might now start to blossom. Godolphin do not run too many in nurseries, so the chance of Spider Power has to be respected, while Reviving disappointed at Haydock but would have finished closer had he not been hampered approaching the final furlong. If Azygous can get out quickly and bag the rail, he should make a bold bid to make all.
