Verdict

It's probable that Norse Light found 1m6f too far last time at Chester and Ralph Beckett's maiden is certainly worth a look on his third to Second Step at Newbury in May. Royal Etiquette went close under Alex Ferguson at Newbury last time but stamina could be an issue for the penalised Bertie Moon and Aldwick Bay would have preferred an easier surface. GANNICUS only gave best close home when tried over this trip at Doncaster. Harry Bannister will give him every assistance from the saddle and the three-year-old could be the value in this finale.
