Verdict
A good race where it may pay to side with HISTORY LESSON although none are ruled out. Dubai Crest ran no sort of race at Goodwood but his form prior to that doesn't read too badly although he is more exposed than the majority of the field. Call It On has been quite highly tried and is still searching for that first handicap success indicating that the handicapper has him about right; he should gain a deserved success one of these days but there's always the worry of bumping into a better handicapped rival. David Evans has performed wonders with Hollow Green and there's no telling where her improvement will end and she has won four of her seven starts here. North Cape has proved steadily progressive and hasn't been too harshly dealt with for opening his account at Sandown whilst the maiden winners, Mary Goodnight and Warpedsenseofhumor, both merit the utmost respect with the promise of more to come. It would be no surprise to see people queuing up to back the Noseda filly as she only needed to be shaken up to score in stirring fashion on her debut but there looks to be some mileage in taking her on with the Queen's colt. He enjoyed the run of the race when getting the better of Hollow Green here last month but wasn't allowed that luxury at Ascot. With the possible exception of the Cecil colt there doesn't appear to be a great deal of pace in this contest so the same scenario could arise and he's still well enough handicapped. Much will depend on the way that the market shapes but History Lesson could be the one to side with if overlooked.
