      Verdict

      Motown Mick won at Chepstow last month, despite finding 6f short enough. He’s gone up 6lb for that, however, and is no certainty to stay this far on breeding. Shaherezada, however, looked ready for an extra furlong when third at Salisbury and Berkshire Royal is a possible improver now handicapping. PAINT (NAP) won on faster going at Bath in August but surpassed that effort when third in a much better race than this at Newmarket next time. Richard Hannon’s filly is clearly on an upward curve and looks the one to beat in this with Simpson and Go Now Go Now having a bit to prove now.
