In depth

Verdict

A real poser for punters trying to work out which is the Fanshawe first string with both expected to improve considerably on their debuts in due course. The market may help sort them out but, with that in doubt, we'll nominate Dr Brass instead. It took a while for the penny to drop with the selection over course and distance on debut but once it did, he fairly rattled home and he can put that experience to good use tonight. Qui Moi and Solas Alainn should improve but a bigger danger is the more experienced Seattle Storm who chased home a couple of fair sorts in a Yarmouth handicap last time and should appreciate the return to this longer trip. Light From Mars and Brexca are others worthy of consideration and the latter, in particular, has sound claims if the blinkers have the desired effect but well take Dr Brass to step up to the plate.
