Verdict

Eightfold was a little disappointing over this trip at Newmarket on his second start and has something to find with SIGNOR SASSIE on that run. A high draw may also not be ideal and Roger Varian's colt, well backed on debut at HQ, can go one better here. Roger Charlton has his string firing on all cylinders so his Latent Heat filly La Bocca has to be worth a second look as she's closely related to the smart Monzant and Marzante. Another newcomer to note is Star Kingdom, whose yard boasts a terrific strike rate with the few two-year-olds it sends to this track. Recently sold for £65,000, he holds an entry in the Two-Year-Old Trophy and probably has more scope than Folkestone third Shamahan.
