In depth

Verdict

Dandouce rarely runs a bad race and has a good opportunity here to lose her maiden tag at the expense of Foley Prince and Stiletto Lady. Peter Chapple-Hyam's filly improved from her seasonal bow at Warwick to finish a close third in a classified event at Yarmouth. On that evidence she looks to be well treated by the handicapper. Foley Prince showed improved form to beat Smoothly Does It over course and distance last time. He encounters similar opposition today so should make his presence felt. Stiletto Lady, like the selection, is still a maiden but ran well for a long time on her handicap debut at Wolverhampton last time and could be the dark horse in the line up. Best of the rest could be course and distance winner Habanero, but Dandouce is the one that gets our vote.
