    Verdict

JACOB'S PILLOW was doing his best work at the finish over 5f at Sandown on his debut. He stayed on to claim the runners-up spot without threatening the winner but will know more here so gets the vote. The remainder have shown little so far to recommend them and even though the likes of Musical Comedy and Vallila are probably capable of better, the newcomer Android may prove a bigger threat. The latter is a half-brother to five winners including the speedy Corporal Maddox and any support in the betting for Clive Cox's colt could prove significant.
