Verdict

Spot Lite beat favourite Cent Flying a nose at Bath with subsequent winner Glamorous Rocket fourth. That was a third victory in four starts but the runner-up is now a massive 10lb better off and there are less-exposed types in this. Hedonism drops back down in trip and makes her handicap debut after just three runs and finished ahead of Q Twenty Boy when third at Brighton last month. All-weather winner Three Little Birds has been placed at Brighton and Goodwood this year but we’ll take a chance on MIDNIGHT GUEST. She was also behind Hedonism at Brighton but enjoys a 9lb pull in the weights thanks to Jane Elliott’s claim and was better next time at Yarmouth – she may have more to come.
