    Verdict

AZIF caught the eye on her Newmarket debut and can be expected to be heavily involved in the action today. Sixpenny Moon, an expensive daughter of Johannesburg, represents a powerful yard with a great strike-rate at Windsor, so also has to merit consideration, while Diamond Laura, judging by the strong support in the betting ring on her debut at Folkestone earlier in the month; is highly thought of by her connections and is likely to have benefited greatly from that racecourse bow. A step up in trip may suit the last named before too long, though. Others to monitor include: Kings of Leo, who is bred to effective at the minimum distance, while Anjomarba has made steady progress in her starts so far and may be good value to make the frame. However, Azif, whose dam was a winning sprinter for Michael Bell a few years ago, was doing all her best work near the finish at Headquarters 11 days ago and is fancied to build on the effort this afternoon.
