In depth

Verdict

Battle Of Wits and Espresso Freddo were both well beaten on their respective debuts so this looks likely to go to a newcomer. The Hannon yard boasts a good strike rate at the track with its two-year-old runners and Groupie is worth monitoring in the betting while Doneraile is a half-brother to three winners and another to consider. But WHAT A BOY is a brother to a winner over 5f and entered in a valuable sales race. Ralph Beckett’s colt may prove good enough at the first time of asking and gets a speculative vote.
