Verdict

In the finale, just four pounds separates the top from the bottom. however, for the winner we turn to Infidelity, who might provide a bit of value against the likes of Boppy's Princess, Rubaiyaat, Calculaite and Trois Etoiles. The case for the selection runs something like this: she looked to be returning to form last time after some uninspiring efforts and is now back to below the mark which saw her score around this time at Nottingham last season. Ok, two runs on Lingfield's all-weather have looked moderate but she might just play a hand here on this new track. Boppy's Princess rates a danger. She ran respectably at Beverley last time when chasing a three-timer, although she is not fully proven at this trip or on all-weather surfaces. The Geoff Wragg-trained Rubaiyaat is lightly raced and open to improvement and has proven he acts at Lingfield, while Calculaite has also proven himself at Lingfield and saw out the stiff mile at Carlisle when winning there, so he rates a big danger. With Trois Etoiles another that is lightly raced and arguably on a very fair mark, this race carries plenty of interest but, once again, for the selection, we'll nominate Infidelity.
