This looks a tight little handicap with the exception of the modest Song Of The Siren. Mr Burbidge won over track and trip last month and followed up at Kempton but the handicapper has had his say since. Scribe has been out of sorts since returning from a break but Embsay Crag won at Newcastle in October and was third over hurdles at Sedgefield last month. Alan King doesn't run many on the Polytrack so it may be significant that he saddles SECRET EDGE here. The five-year-old is a decent hurdler and is no slouch on the Flat either, as he proved at Newbury two runs ago. He looks better treated than Arashi and gets the nod.
