Verdict

A tricky sprint handicap to conclude the evening and FANTASY FIGHTER might just be good enough to complete a hat-trick from a wide draw, while Perlachy, Cayman Fox and Master Lightfoot can get very competitive. The John Quinn-trained selection chases his three-timer after wins here and at Lingfield, both over 6f. Clearly in cracking form, this trip is a bit of an unknown, but with no weight on his back he might just be capable of coming off a strong pace to win it. Perlachy is another who is more of a 6f specialist, but he does have a course and distance success to his name and races from the same mark as when going close enough last time, so he is likely to get very competitive. Cayman Fox relishes this minimum trip and acts very well at Dunstall Park, and while the handicapper did her a bit of a favour by dropping her 3lbs for her previous run, he has not relented any further, meaning that she will have to raise her game to take this. Master Lightfoot is on the same mark as when landing a Lingfield maiden last time, which tells us plenty about how the assessor rated that run, though pedigree suggests he will act on this surface, and if there is market support then he becomes very interesting. Anne Of Kiev has plenty to prove after an awful effort last time, while Colorus needs a favour from the handicapper and Fantasy Fighter is the suggestion.
