Signora Frasi is best off at the weights here compared to official BHA ratings but she was well beaten in this grade last time and preference is for the in-form DON PELE to have the edge in what is a tricky enough seller for punters. The selection was a winner in a 5f Lingfield handicap last time and makes his debut on this slightly slower Polytrack at Dunstall Park tonight. Having said that, as a winner at Southwell in the past, this surface should hold no fears, nor should the trip, and as a consistent sort we will take him to follow up. Geoffdaw was well beaten here last time in a claimer but ran with credit in a seller prior to that and will want a strong pace here to bring his stamina into play. Mafaheem won a Great Leighs seller in January but has been out of sorts since. Even so, he goes very well here and you would not confidently rule him out. Strathmore races over his optimum trip and acts here, and he would not have to improve much to get closely involved, but we'll side with Don Pele.
