Verdict

Best Desert can win the final race, with Semelle de Vent and Velocitas seen as the main dangers. Best Desert was fancied at Lingfield last time but came unstuck as he could only finish fourth to My Pension. That was over a mile and the time is now right for John Best's gelding to be stepped up in trip. He gets the vote over Semelle de Vent who is still learning but who goes well on an artificial surface. John Gosden's filly was not beaten far by Rebel Raider over the course and distance last time and should be in the shake-up. Velocitas nearly got up to beat Boppys Princess here recently and is also on the upgrade of late, while Mr Midasman's trainer gets plenty of winners here. They are the main contenders, with Best Desert taken to come out on top.
