In depth

Verdict

Istimraar has been placed twice over 7f on Turf but was a huge disappointment when sent off favourite for a nursery at Yarmouth last time and Silvestre De Sousa has opted to ride Godolphin's other runner, newcomer Francistown, instead. He's by Cape Cross out of Sadler's Wells mare so could be useful. But Mark Johnston's filly MODERN ART has an even more impressive pedigree and should have more speed at this stage of her career. She gets the nod with Byron Gala still beaten 12 lengths despite finishing second here last month. Heska looks best of the rest.
