The step-up in trip will play to the strengths of Capania who is nominated over Green Pirate and Cantique. The selection was doing all her best work at the finish last time over 6f at Wolverhampton when she finished behind Crimson Fern. She got outpaced early on that day but she should have no problems on that score here, and although the draw could have been kinder to her, she does rate as the value call. Green Pirate is sure to be popular with punters as he won well when beating Kingoftheswingers here last time over 7f, but that was a really weak race and he has more on his plate today over this longer trip. Cantique has gone close several times but she has yet to win a race in twenty six tries, so although she might be good enough to fill a place, she can't be backed with any confidence. White Bear ran a fair race considering he was returning from a break at Lingfield last time, so he should be sharper today. However, Capania has plenty in her favour and she gets our vote.
