          Verdict

          Alan McCabe's string is going well and his SILVER WIND ran well in a non-seller over C&D last month. A pound lower today and with Robert Winston taking over the reins, the gelding looks poised to end a winless run that stretches back to November 2011. Veteran Sir Nod, Hinton Admiral, Whipphound and Replicator are also previous C&D winners and the first three named would go close in this on their best form while top weight Ivestar won handicaps at Catterick and Kempton in the autumn and takes a drop in class here. Imjin River has also been keeping slightly better company and looks the pick of the remainder.
