        Verdict

        Pretty Sister, Siwa and Violent Velocity look the three to concentrate on in this maiden and the vote is given to the last named. The selection was a fair fourth behind Orchard Supreme on turf. He is bred to go on this surface and with his yard in form he looks the one to be on. Pretty Sister rates the main danger on her debut third behind Critic. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and given nominal improvement she will not be far away. Siwa was a fair second on her debut behind Donna Geovanna and is another that is sure to improve but the suspicion is that she will be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Of the remainder Piano Player is a well bred type and should be noted in the market but for the winner we return to Violent Velocity who sets a fair standard.
