Verdict

Like the majority of these, HELMSLEY FLYER is not the most reliable, but he won with plenty to spare over 1m4f here last Saturday. He should stay this longer trip and may reverse earlier running with Blazing Desert. The latter also steps up in distance after a second over 1m6f at this track last month. Well Owd Mon produced a strong finish over 1m4f on his latest start and nearly caught the winner Grandiloquent. He makes more appeal than previous course and distance winner Fade To Grey as the veteran is having his first start since 2012.
