      Verdict

Betting shop fodder at its best as a batch of disappointing three-year-olds line up and it is JACHOL who is to overcome a poor draw to see off Tinkerbelle and Shadows Lengthen. The gelding has shaped with a degree of promise over this trip at Newmarket when taking on much better company. This is such a poor race that even a double-figure draw could be overcome. Tinkerbelle was tailed off at Folkestone last time out but has had time for recovery. She had ran creditably at Kempton previously without setting the world alight. Shadows Lengthen ran a solid third at Newcastle without necessarily threatening to win it. The former champion is an eyecatching booking. Screaming Brave was somewhat unlucky in running at Beverley behind Valid Point. The handicapper has not sought to penalise him for that effort. Kochanski is plating class at best and invariably starts to sulk once taken on for the lead. Black River Falls has appeared in need of a step up in trip and it would be interesting to see any money in the ring for Ian Semple's raider. A bad race requiring little comment.
