      Verdict

COUNCELLOR is the selection with The Kiddykid and Danehillsundance the most pertinent dangers. Councellor has been campaigned on the turf in order to take advantage of a lesser mark but this is where he ordinarily puts up his better efforts, so off a mark 2lb lower than his last win at the track he is worthy of respect. The Kiddykid is the archetypal seven-furlong specialist. A winner at Chester, he does need the gaps to appear at the right times. Danehillsundance represents a trainer in form. He was a tad disappointing at Ascot last time out but is well handicapped on old form. Wasp was a useful sort in Hong Kong and was not disgraced on British introduction. Gallantry is arguably better over today's trip than the mile he has previously raced over. Lytton was a top-quality juvenile though he is yet to prove that he has trained on. Wilkandoo won a weak event at Dundalk and more is required here. Prince Hamlet has disappointed this summer though could be better than the bare formlines suggest.
