Verdict

George Fenton was well backed to return to winning ways over track and trip last time and duly obliged. He'd gone close on a previous start here when TWO NO BIDS finished just ahead of him in second. The latter re-opposes on better terms today and can uphold the form. Smalljohn finished further behind in the same race, but Menelik continues to improve and should go well on his return after winning at Lingfield in July. Seek The Fair Land has been in decent form over 6f of late and Barbados Bob should also be thereabouts again.
