In depth

Verdict

PRINCESS VALERINA is given the nomination in this handicap over Count Ceprano and Peter's Storm. The selection was a cosy winner here last time out when she beat Divinsky and the form has since been franked. She looks to be one step ahead of the handicapper and she can win again. Count Ceprano finished behind Divinsky at Great Leighs last time and he has the plum draw. He should give our selection the most to think about, although we think Princess Valerina is open to more improvement. Peter's Storm is well-drawn for one that likes to trailblaze and if he can get an an easy lead then he could be difficult to catch. Jeremy Gask has his string in good form at present so Mrs Penny is another worthy of a mention, but in a tight race to call the progressive Princess Valerina is selected.
