Verdict

Angel Gabrial steps up in distance after returning to action with a third over 7f here a week ago and that form is not far behind Cotton Trader's second on the all-weather at Deauville last month. Lyrical Gangster finished behind one of the latter's stablemates on his debut at Lingfield and could figure, while Authentication makes most appeal of the newcomers as he's a half-brother to a host of winners and his stable won this race last year. However, with Marco Botti's yard carrying over it's good form into the new year, CANARY WHARF could make a winning debut for the Newmarket trainer having been placed in Ireland a couple of times last season in four starts for Aidan O'Brien.
