In depth

Verdict

Steve Rogers won at Kempton last year but has often flattered to deceive and was well behind Intense Tango over a shorter trip at Musselburgh in August. Sandro Botticelli won a Listed race on soft going at Sandown last July and was highly tried after. He earlier had Old Town Boy well behind at Doncaster so makes more appeal than dual course winner Gang Warfare, who rather lost his way in the second half of last season. Antiquarium won the Northumberland Plate on Tapeta last June but Godolphin also have FAMOUS KID in the line-up. He hasn’t raced since a third at Meydan last February but has gone well fresh in the past and should stay this longer trip now he’s a bit older.
