Verdict

It may be worth taking a chance with either Notte Di Note or SURANAM depending upon how the market shapes up as neither Libertino nor One Good Emperor appear to be any great shakes. William Haggas has a good strike rate with his juveniles at the track although the fact that the level stakes return only just creeps into profit suggests that the majority are short in the market. Therefore, a trip to the ring is essential to see what it makes of Suranam who shaped with promise in a Pontefract maiden won by a useful sort. Notte Di Note should have learnt plenty from her debut at Brighton as it's not an easy track for a newcomer to negotiate and she was noticeably green. Libertino went close in what appeared to be a weak maiden at Warwick and has claims as does One Good Emperor who failed to justify favouritism at Kempton. He has a stone in hand on the figures over Bitter Honey but she shouldn't be dismissed out of hand on her return to maiden company whilst Goddess Of Light finished clear of the field when fourth at Dundalk and makes the short-list. One Good Emperor sets the standard but the market will be useful with regard to the less exposed runners and we'll chance our arm with Suranam.
